What areas do you serve?
We're based in Port Jefferson Station and serve all of Suffolk County — including Port Jefferson, Stony Brook, Smithtown, Miller Place, Setauket, Mount Sinai, Coram, Selden, Centereach, Hauppauge, Rocky Point, and surrounding areas. Delivery within 15 miles is free; a small fee may apply beyond that.
Is delivery, setup, and pickup included?
Yes — always. We handle delivery, full setup, and pickup at no extra charge for events within 15 miles of Port Jefferson Station. We'll confirm any delivery fee for events beyond that range in your quote.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking 2–4 weeks out, especially for weekends and summer dates. That said, we always do our best to accommodate last-minute requests — give us a call and we'll see what we can do.
How does payment work?
A $100 deposit is required to hold your date. The remaining balance is due before or on the day of delivery. We accept cash, Zelle, Venmo, and credit/debit cards — all details are included in your rental agreement.
What is your cancellation policy?
We get it — life happens. Here's how we handle it:
14+ days before your event → full refund, including the deposit.
7–13 days before → the $100 deposit is non-refundable; everything else is refunded.
Within 7 days → no refund, but we'll do our best to reschedule you within 90 days (subject to availability).
Reschedules with at least 7 days notice are always free. Just reach out — we'll make it as smooth as possible.
What happens if it rains?
Our tents are built for outdoor use and handle typical weather just fine. If severe weather is in the forecast — high winds, thunderstorms — we'll reach out ahead of time to talk through your options. Safety always comes first.
Inflatables
What age groups are the inflatables for?
The Unicorn Bounce House and Rainbow Castle Combo are ideal for ages 2–12. The Fun Slide XL and Obstacle Course are great for older kids and adults too — ages 4 and up. Safety guidelines come with every rental.
How much space do the inflatables need?
Unicorn Bounce House: ~15×15 ft flat area
Rainbow Castle Combo: ~15×20 ft flat area
Fun Slide XL: ~15×30 ft flat area
Obstacle Course: ~15×50 ft flat area
All setups need a reasonably level surface and access to a standard outlet within 50 ft.
Can inflatables be set up indoors?
It depends on the inflatable and your venue's ceiling height:
Unicorn Bounce House & Rainbow Castle Combo (~12 ft tall) — work great indoors in gyms, community centers, or event halls with a 14–15 ft ceiling.
Obstacle Course (low-profile) — fits most standard gym spaces with a 12–13 ft ceiling.
Fun Slide XL (15 ft tall) — generally not suitable for indoor use; very few venues have ceilings tall enough.

Are the inflatables cleaned between rentals?
Absolutely. Every inflatable is thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and inspected before every single rental. We take pride in delivering equipment that looks and feels like new.
Concessions
Do you provide supplies with the concession machines?
We offer a supply starter kit as an add-on — popcorn kernels, oil, and bags for the popcorn machine; hot dogs, buns, and condiments for the steamer. Just ask when you request your quote.
How many people can the machines serve?
The 8oz popcorn machine produces 3–4 batches per hour and serves 30–50 guests per batch. The hot dog steamer holds up to 24 hot dogs at a time and keeps them warm all event long. The Concession Bundle (both machines) saves you $20 vs. renting separately.
Tents & Linens
Do I need a permit for a tent?
In most residential settings, no permit is needed. For events at public parks or commercial properties, local rules vary — we recommend checking with your municipality. We're happy to provide any documentation you might need.
What surfaces can tents be set up on?
Grass, concrete, asphalt, pavers, or compacted gravel — we can work with all of them. On grass or dirt we use steel ground stakes; on hard surfaces we use weighted sandbags. Either way, we'll let you know the plan in advance. If you have underground irrigation or utilities, just give us a heads-up when you book.
Are string lights included with tent rentals?
Yes — string lights are included free with every Lights & Linens tent package. If you're renting a tent only, or want string lights without a tent, you can add them on for $45/day.
Do you offer chair covers and linens?
Yes! We offer white stretch spandex chair covers for our standard folding chairs ($2 each) and white highboy covers for our cocktail tables ($10 each). A perfect finishing touch for any event.
